Hi, I’m Donato Latrofa.

I want to be your Trustee.

I’m a husband, a dad, a lawyer, and I serve as a JAG in the Illinois Air National Guard.

My wife Nicole and I moved to Elk Grove Village in 2015 after I completed my initial active duty service commitment in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps. It felt like home even when we were only renting a short-term condo! We were fortunate enough to buy our house in 2016 and decided to raise both of our children here. We’re committed to Elk Grove Village.

Additionally, I’ve been a part of the Elk Grove Village Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) since 2020. As part of the ZBA, I’ve been able to see and participate in local government. I’ve met and worked alongside some incredible caring, smart, committed individuals. I’ve been proud to be part of a Board that balances the needs of the community and neighborhoods with the needs of the residents.

And it is this reason that I’ve decided to run for Trustee in 2027. There is so much at stake in the coming years, and I have so much I want to offer to our community.
