Planks of My Platform— What do you mean by:

Exceed Exceptional”?

Elk Grove Village is built on a legacy of strong neighborhoods and a world-class industrial engine. It is called "The Exceptional Community," for many reasons. But, to “Exceed Exceptional” we must embrace a collaborative, proactive approach to our future growth. My platform is organized into four core pillars:

1. Transparent Infrastructure

We must protect our community from the strains of development (and, in particular, data centers). By implementing "Development Nutrition Labels," we will proactively communicate electrical, water, and community impacts to the community.

2. Incentivize Solar Integration

We possess an extraordinary, untapped asset: approximately 67 million square feet of mostly-flat industrial roofing. As trustee, I will seek to position the village to incentivize business owners and developers to convert warehouse rooftops and other industrial/commercial properties into community solar arrays. I will also push the village to investigate potential alignment with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and similar solutions to further bolster our grid resilience. This generates clean energy and bolsters grid resilience without utilizing a single acre of residential green space.

3. Thoughtful Neighborhood Siting

Our industrial success must never compromise our residential quality of life. I am committed to keeping industrial developments strictly within the current Industrial zoning, and away from residential borders (like the proposed WGN/Nexstar site). As trustee, I will push the village to work collaboratively with independent experts to evaluate and mitigate environmental impacts, ensuring lasting harmony between our industry and our neighborhoods.

4. Transparent Financial Stewardship & The Residential Dividend Managing a $250 million municipal enterprise requires rigorous, boardroom-level auditing and transparent, open-bid contracting. By maintaining strict, transparent fiscal oversight, we guarantee that our village’s success continues to provide a direct "Residential Dividend"—funding stable property taxes, park reinvestment, and collaborative community initiatives like a weekend neighborhood transit pilot.
